Mike Taylor is available to perform at bars, restaurants, corporate and outdoor events. And don't forget
private parties...birthday, anniversary, holiday, block parties, christenings, weddings, back yard parties,
etc. Mike is based in Long Island, NY and Pennsylvania's Pocono region, though travel to other areas can be
negotiated. Please don't be shy about asking if Mike would be right for your venue or event...just ask!
Give us a call and we'll answer all your questions about pricing and availability, as well as, help you determine
if Mike's music suits the needs of your establishment or event. You see, Mike has a "long term" approach
about doing business. He likes to build relationships (and sometimes friendships) with his clientelle. He's not
in this for the "quick buck". Rather, he wants satisfied customers who feel their money has been well spent
and who are eager to hire him again or recommend him to others. "It's gotta be a fit for both sides
(musician and customer)", is Mike's philosophy.
If you're interested in hiring Mike but are curious what he sounds like...just listen! The pages in this site
have some excerpts of Mike's music. So, if you hear music, it's Mike. If not, perhaps your speakers are
off. Or maybe your computer doesn't support this version of
Windows Media Player
. We will gladly send you
a CD demo, if that's the case.

Food For Thought
Some things to consider if you're thinking of hiring Mike:
I
t takes a lot of gear to sound like a band! Please allow enough room for a
3 to 4 piece
band
when
considering a location for Mike to set up.
I
t would be a big help if you could
have
the
area cleared of
tables, etc.
Mike needs
1 hour set up time
. If you'd like the music to start at 10 pm, for example, he
must be
able to begin set up at 9 pm.
Mike does his own power distribution. All you need to provide is
one, grounded 120 Volt
15 Amp outlet
.
Please make sure it is
"clean
,
"
meaning you don't use the same circuit to
power your air conditioner or
refrigerator
. This is enough to run the sound equipment,
computer equipment, and stage lights in the
average establishment or party. For larger
venues (300 to 1500 people) please discuss with us to
determine specific requirements.
Please
consider terrain
,
van access
,
steps
,
etc
.
when thinking of hiring live music.
Describe the
location to us and we'll let you know
if it's possible to get the equipment
there
.
Fair enough?
For house parties:
consider how well you get on with
all
the neighbors around you.
How
w
ill they
r
espond to you having live music
? (A good trick to keep the peace is invite
the neighbors!) Also, be sure
there are no local
noise
restrictions that could hinder a
live musical
performance.
When in doubt.......
ask
!
Charity
Mike considers himself blessed in many ways and is always willing to share his time and talents for
worthy
causes. Feel free to contact us if you have a fund raiser for the sick or needy which requires live
music. Mike
would be glad to donate music to your event, provided he's available and has no conflict in
principle with the
cause.
